Hasia Diner Wins 2009 National Jewish Book Award

Hasia R. Diner is the winner of the American Jewish Studies/Celebrate 350 Award for new book from NYU Press, We Remember with Reverence and Love: American Jews and the Myth of Silence after the Holocaust, 1945‐1962. The Jewish Book Council, which gives out the awards, called it “a breakthrough book challenging the myth of silence after the Shoah.”

Keren R. McGinity’s Still Jewish: A History of Women and Intermarriage in America was one of three finalists for the Barbara Dobkin Award for Women’s Studies.
