Dr. Joel Hoffman, author of In the Beginning: A Short History of the Hebrew Language, fleshes out the 5 ways English translations can get it wrong in HuffPost’s new Op-Ed. Read the entire article here.

Dr. Hoffman reveals minor blunders in our English versions of the Bible (such as mistaking “ballot” for “bullet”) as well as more crucial flaws: for example, our misreading of the Ten Commandments, which, in its’ original meaning, did not forbid coveting.
